Arial ridesharing will soon become a reality with the announcement and reveal of the Hyundai SA-1 air taxi concept. Hyundai brings its large-scale manufacturing capability and expertise to Uber Elevate to deliver shared air transportation by 2023. The SA-1 will be the first fleet of small electric aircraft designed to take off and land vertically and will have a cruising speed of 180 mph. It’s 100% electric, has a range of up to 60 miles on a full charge, and travels at an altitude of 1,000-2,000 feet above the ground. The cabin will have room for four riders plus the pilot.
