This innovative and environmentally friendly lamp takes the experiment of powering a light bulb using fruits and vegetables one step further. The Soil Lamp ($TBA), created by Marieke Staps, powers and lights a LED bulb with the energy from natural metabolism of biological organisms in mud. The lamp is designed to hold mud in multiple cells with copper and zinc that conduct electricity. The brightness of the bulb is dependent on the amount of cells with mud.
