The Sony Bravia ZX1 ($TBA) television is the world’s thinnest 40″ LCD HDTV. By using the Edge LED technology, an array of light around the LCD screen illuminating the panel, the designers were able to slim down the TV to a mere 9.9 mm thickness by getting rid of the back light used by most conventional televisions. It features the Bravia Engine 2 for picture enhancement technology and Motionflow 200 Hz for a very smooth motion clarity. It also comes with a media box called Bravia Wireless 1080, a ground-breaking high definition, high-speed wireless connection capable of real time transmission of HD audio and video signals getting rid of those unsightly wires that will ruin this TV’s style. Last, for all the environmentally conscious consumers, the Sony Bravia ZX1 actually consumes less power than a light bulb.
