This belt is modeled after similar belts which the French Tsigane gypsies were known to carry for protection against other gypsy tribes and unsympathetic authorities. The set includes a 1 1/2″ wide belt and a 5 3/4″ buckle with a 3 1/2″ dagger. The design allows for the wearer to quickly and easily produce the buckle as its dagger, since there are no snaps or locking mounts of any kind.
