Based on the artificial intelligence of Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey”, the HAL 9000 is near enough the real thing, having been designed from the actual studio blueprints. Constructed from aircraft-grade aluminium, the wall mounted device comes with the fish eye lens complete with Nikkor sticker, red LED eye, responds to commands and will even quote lines from the movie at you.
