BOYAMIC 2: The Audio Capture System That Never Quits

The latest wireless microphone system from BOYAMIC aims to solve the most common audio recording failures in the field. The newly released BOYAMIC 2 focuses on reliability through independent recording capabilities and intelligent noise processing.

The system features transmitters that record internally without requiring connection to the receiver. This approach prevents audio loss during signal drops or interference. Each transmitter stores recordings directly to 8GB of internal memory in either 32-bit float or 24-bit WAV formats, providing up to 15 hours of recording time.

BOYAMIC has implemented AI-based noise reduction technology trained on over 700,000 audio samples. The system filters out traffic noise, wind, and mechanical sounds while preserving voice clarity. Users can select between two noise reduction levels depending on environmental conditions.

The hardware design prioritizes durability and ease of use in challenging environments. The 40mm transmitters feature ridged surfaces for secure handling and include both magnetic and clip attachment options. The receiver uses physical controls rather than touchscreen interfaces, allowing operation with gloves or in wet conditions.

Audio quality specifications include a 6mm condenser capsule recording at 48 kHz/24-bit with a 90 dB signal-to-noise ratio. The system offers selectable low-cut filters at 75 Hz and 150 Hz to reduce rumble from HVAC systems or other low-frequency interference.

Battery performance reaches nine hours for transmitters under optimal conditions, with runtime decreasing to six hours when using noise cancellation and recording features simultaneously. The receiver operates for approximately 15 hours on a single charge. The included charging case provides two additional full charges to all components.

Wireless range extends to 300 meters in open areas and approximately 60 meters with obstacles. The system maintains 25-millisecond latency throughout the operating range, ensuring audio-video synchronization.

Connectivity options include USB-C and Lightning adapters for smartphones and computers, plus standard 3.5mm TRS connections for cameras and audio equipment. One transmitter can broadcast to four receivers simultaneously, supporting multi-camera setups.

While a companion app provides firmware updates and custom EQ profiles, the core functionality operates independently without requiring smartphone connectivity. This standalone operation ensures the system remains functional even when mobile devices are unavailable.

The BOYAMIC 2 is available now at $299, positioning it between consumer-grade wireless microphones and professional broadcast systems. The company targets content creators who work in unpredictable environments where traditional wireless systems often fail.
